Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking an experienced A- or B-Level Automotive Technician in Stoughton, WI. Earn $30-$50/hour (experience-based) with a 4-day Monday-Thursday schedule, Fridays and weekends off. Work in a clean, family-owned independent shop servicing all makes and models.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, electrical work, engine repairs, and Digital Vehicle Inspections using Tekmetric. Opportunity for growth and on-site training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience.
• A-Level or strong B-Level automotive repair skills.
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience performing internal engine repairs.
• Dealership and independent shop experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Comfortable mentoring other technicians.

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced A- or B-Level Automotive Technician in Stoughton, WI, offering $30-$50/hour based on experience. This opportunity features a 4-day Monday-Thursday workweek with every Friday and weekend off. You'll work in a clean, well-equipped, family-owned independent repair environment servicing all makes and models.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair all makes and models
• Perform advanced electrical and drivability diagnostics
• Troubleshoot complex vehicle concerns
• Perform internal engine repairs, excluding engine rebuilds
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently
• Perform Digital Vehicle Inspections using Tekmetric

The shop has 7 bays and 7 lifts, an alignment rack, Tekmetric shop management and Digital Vehicle Inspection tools, and specialty tools provided. The team services approximately 80-90 vehicles per week and supports continued technical development.
