Fuel is a vital component of the Army National Guard, essential for keeping Soldiers operational. As a Petroleum Supply Specialist, you will ensure the proper handling, storage, and shipment of petroleum products such as oil, fuel, and compressed gases.
Petroleum Supply Specialists supervise and manage the reception, storage, and shipping of bulk or packaged petroleum products. Responsibilities include operating specialized pumping equipment to load trucks, ships, trains, and aircraft; sampling petroleum products for testing; performing petroleum and water accounting activities; testing for contamination; repairing equipment; and following safety procedures and storage guidelines.
As your skills develop, so will your responsibilities. Advanced specialists may supervise and train other Soldiers, assign duties, inspect work quality, and ensure safety compliance.
Training will equip you with skills applicable to civilian careers in oil refineries, pipeline companies, and tanker operations.

After 10 weeks of Basic Training, you'll attend 11 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT), combining hands-on and classroom instruction.
