The DC Army National Guard seeks Soldiers to serve as Small Arms/Artillery Repairers, maintaining the electronic systems that power weapons ranging from handguns and shotguns to sniper rifles and ballistic missiles. You will learn to diagnose, repair, and test complex weapon electronics and related subsystems to keep equipment ready for training and deployment.
Training is paid; 10 weeks Basic Training plus 7 weeks Advanced Individual Training.

Through your training, you will develop the skills and experience to enjoy a civilian career as an electronic mechanic, an avionics technician, or a missile facilities repairer with firms that design, build, and test weapons for the military.

Job training for Small Arms/Artillery Repairers consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and 7 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Training consists of both classroom and field work.
