Job summary

Costa Farms is seeking an Engineering Intern to work in a hands-on environment with our Costa Production System in a structured, nine-week program at our NC site, with a potential contingent offer upon graduation. You will lead improvement projects and analyze performance using Lean and Toyota Production System tools.

Applicants should be rising seniors, able to attend in-person, bring a resume and cover letter, and demonstrate humility, hunger and hustle in alignment with Costa Farms values.

Qualifications

• 3.0 GPA
• Knowledge or courses taken in the area of discipline
• Member of school club(s)
• Comfortable with public speaking
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies

Responsibilities

• Leading process improvement projects in a manufacturing facility aiming to increase productivity using Toyota Production System and Lean Manufacturing tools and practices
• Studying and analyzing a production unit’s performance to improve efficiency following DMAIC methodology
