Job summary

Gilbert Unified School District seeks a Paraprofessional Specialist to assist in the supervision and instruction of severely/moderately disabled students under a certificated teacher's guidance, observing progress and implementing IEP-based plans. The role includes adapting activities, supporting daily living needs, recording data for the DSC program, and ensuring a safe learning environment.

Requires Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance, CPR/First Aid, CPI as requested. 9-month calendar.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ParaPro or equivalent credential or college credits may be required.
• Must possess valid Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card; CPR/First Aid certified.

Responsibilities

• Adapt activities and materials under teacher guidance to include all students.
• Assist students with daily living needs and health care requirements as part of instruction.
• Record data and monitor student progress as part of IEP goals.
• Support teachers and therapists in group or individual activities.
• Maintain safe and positive learning environment during school activities.
