Job summary

Hope Christian School in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an Elementary School Permanent Substitute to cover the classroom and provide instruction grounded in Biblical principles and a Christian worldview. This 9-month position aligns with the school year and supports the elementary program.

The role includes teaching as assigned, integrating biblical principles, and providing front office support. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a Christian faith, and strong communication with students

Qualifications

• Have received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
• Reflect the purpose of the school, which is to honor Christ.
• Comply with Hope Christian School policies and procedures and attend all required meetings/trainings including but not limited to faculty meetings, student chapels, staff chapels, in-service trainings, required school functions, etc.
• High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field and related experience preferred.
• Experience as teacher or substitute preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work professionally with students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes as assigned following the lesson plans created by the teacher when substituting in classroom.
• Integrate biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education.
• Know the procedures for dealing with emergency situations.
• Provide administrative support to the Elementary School front office and leadership.
