Job summary

Waukee Middle School in Waukee, Iowa seeks an 8th Mock Trial Sponsor to support a dynamic after-school program. Immediate starting date. A $1,683 stipend is provided for this full-time role and the sponsor will assist with all mock trial activities, supervise practices, and ensure student decorum and preparation.

The sponsor will coordinate with 8th, 10th–12th grade coaches to maintain continuity, conduct team meetings, and keep families informed about schedules, rules, and tournament procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Iowa teaching license preferred but not required.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship or work eligibility in the U.S. required.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach/sponsor with mock trial activities.
• Conduct team meetings and coordinate practice schedules.
• Keep parents and team members informed of practices and scrimmages.
• Inform team members of district rules and tournament procedures.
• Instruct team members on proper trial decorum and appearance.
• Help students develop case themes and line of questioning.
