Job summary

Boston Green Academy is seeking an 8th grade Science Teacher licensed in general science or an appropriate science discipline for grade 8. This role teaches general education and inclusion classes, collaborates with grade-level teams, and differentiates curriculum to raise student achievement.

Mass. Certification in the content area is required; dual certification in Special Education (Moderate) is preferred and must be achieved within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts certification in general science or a science discipline for grade 8.
• Dual certification in Special Education preferred and required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement district learning goals and objectives aligned with state standards.
• Provide small-group instruction to support diverse learners.
• Write and implement IEP goals and report progress regularly.
• Provide accommodations and adapt curriculum as needed for MCAS preparation.
• Collaborate with staff to support modification and student needs.
• Support transition services as appropriate.
