Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Experience teaching middle school students preferred, especially math.
• Ability to quickly learn technology, teaching practices, and follow standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the 8th-grade math curriculum and state standards.
• Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, quizzes, and assignments, providing constructive feedback.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters growth mindset.
• Utilize diverse instructional strategies and technologies to meet diverse learner needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and activities.
• Collaborate with staff to support school-wide initiatives and participate in professional development.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and required documentation.
• Provide additional support and enrichment resources as needed.
• Uphold school policies to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
