Job summary

Paterson Public Schools is seeking qualified elementary-education professionals to join our team. The ideal candidate holds a K-6 instructional certificate or equivalent, with for example K-12 Math credentials or a substitute credential as appropriate.

You will apply data-driven instruction and NJSLS knowledge to support student learning and growth. Strong communication skills, integrity, and the ability to collaborate with staff, students, parents, and the community are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold an instructional K-6 certificate, a K-12 Mathematics certificate, or an appropriate substitute credential.
• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA.
• Effective instructional practices and strategies.
• Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction.
• Experience working with elementary students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character.
• Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others.
• Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community.
