Job summary

Webstaurantstore is hiring for weekend shift roles in our warehouse. We are seeking hardworking, reliable, and motivated individuals to staff both inbound and outbound departments. On-site training and mentoring are provided, with great pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth in a fast-paced food service supply company.

Starting at $25/hr, additional raises up to $0.88 every six months are available. No degree required; one year distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Essential Inbound Job Functions

Unload live domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment, or unload import containers by hand
Use our internal systems to systematically receive inventory accurately and efficiency, ready to be placed in storage racking
Move palletized product using forklift equipment to organize the receiving dock, or transport product to other areas of the Distribution center
Scan and place inventory in racking locations using forklift equipment and a handheld scanning device, ready for warehouse operations
Maintain inventory by replenishing stock, verifying product accuracy, and supporting efficient warehouse operations
Manage overstock, investigate discrepancies, adjusting inventory records, and completing routine inventory control tasks and reporting
Perform daily cycle counts, audit inventory locations, verify SKU quantities, and maintain inventory accuracy using PIT equipment
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership
Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
Abide by all company and warehouse policies
Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

Essential Outbound Job Functions

Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using our handheld scanning devices, completed on foot or using forklift equipment
Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing
Pack products accurately and securely using our internal SPS system or CVP machines, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience
Bundle and verify orders for shipment, ensure order accuracy, and operate the bundler system
Load and stack packages into designated trailers, verify carriers, move palletized products as needed, and manage trailer lockout procedures
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
Abide by all company and warehouse policies
Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

WAGE

Starting Wage is $25/hr, with the potential raise every 6 months of up to $0.88.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

Experience

1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; receiving and/or inventory experience preferred but not required.

Education

This role does not require a degree. We value relevant skills and experience and alignment with our core values above all else.
