Responsibilities

• Sweep floors and remove scuff marks in assigned areas.
• Remove dust from desks, counters, and tabletops.
• Mop, wax and buff floors and restroom facilities as directed.
• Fill dispensers with towels, soaps and toilet tissue.
• Clean windows and mirrors.
• Replace broken windows when needed.
• Replace light bulbs as needed.
• Turn lights out to conserve energy.
• Dispose of paper, garbage and trash.
• Remove spots and stains as necessary.
• Wash, dry and dust cleaning equipment after use.
• Set up chairs and tables for meetings and activities.
• Know location and use of fire fighting equipment.
• Lock doors and windows to secure building before leaving.
• Report maintenance problems to assistant head custodian or head custodian.
• Report unauthorized people in the building after closing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by head/assistant custodian or supervising administrator.

• To sweep floors and remove scuff marks from floors in rooms and halls in assigned area.
• To remove dust from desks, counters, and table tops in assigned area facilities.
• To mop, wax and buff floors as needed and directed including restroom facilities.
• To fill dispensers with towels, soaps and toilet tissue.
• To clean windows and mirrors as needed.
• To replace broken windows when needed.
• To replace light bulbs as needed.
