Job summary

HealthRIGHT360 is seeking an On-call WM RN in California to advocate for clients using the Nursing Process and Harm Reduction approaches. The role involves co-managing self-administered inductions and titration of MAT, monitoring vital signs, and triaging acuity with leadership escalation as needed.

The RN acts as shift lead for HealthRIGHT360 staff, ensuring evidence-based plans are followed, and collaborates with the Medical Director and case managers on extended support when required.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license is required.
• BLS & First Aid certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work with a diverse population with cultural humility.
• Willingness to support Harm Reduction approaches.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient medication use and flag high-risk interactions.
• Respond to treatment responses with nursing or medical interventions as needed.
• Support MAT adherence through counseling and education.
• Collaborate with SUD counselors and case managers to address obstacles to treatment.
• Maintain electronic health records accurately and on time.

• Practice within California RN licensure scope and organizational credentialing.

HealthRIGHT 360 offers residential treatment services designed to serve individuals and families with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our program helps clients address addiction and related issues, increase skills, manage stressors, connect to supportive service, and build a foundation for lasting recovery. Residential programs run 24/7 and Individual and group therapy, family therapy, individualized case management, treatment planning, drug and alcohol counseling, Medication support services, and crisis intervention.

This is an On Call position: shift hours and days vary as needed.

Job Summary

The On-call WM RN utilizesthe Nursing Process and Harm Reduction and Trauma Responsive Care modalities in all actions taken to advocate for and support the client in their planning and goals. They specifically focus on co-managing (with clients) any self-administered inductions and/or titration of MAT (prescription medications) and the WM LVN monitorsconcurrent vital signs and symptoms with CIWA/COWS scoring. They triage acuity, report changes in condition to the Nurse Manager, Nurse Director, and/or Medical Director, and/or activate emergency interventions, as needed. The WM RN acts as a shift lead and resource for unlicensed Health & Wellness staff and ensures adherence to evidence-based treatment plans. Where clients need extended WM support they work with the WM Medical Case Manager to initiateauthorization. They screen those clients who plan to enter residential treatment for Tb and perform skin testing as needed, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patient medication useand helps to mitigate risk to patient by flagging high dose medications and potential medication interactions to the appropriate prescribingproviders
• Monitors client response to treatment and initiates nursing or medical interventions, as needed
• Supports Medication Assisted Treatment adherence through counseling and education
• Collaborates with SUD counselors and/or internal and external case managers to dissolve treatment obstacles
• Utilizes the electronic health record as the primary source for all client care appropriately and documents relevant nursing interventions on time
• Works collaboratively with all staff across the HealthRIGHT360 care continuum
• Functions as a nurse within the scope of California RN licensure, and credentialing and privileging of the organization

Position Requirements

• Active California RN license
• BLS & First Aid Certification, or must obtain within 30 daysof hire
• Able to work with a diverse population with Cultural Humility
• Able to prioritize a Harm Reduction approach
• Interest and/or experience in working with unhoused populations, Substance Use Disorderand Behavioral Health treatment settings, those with criminal backgrounds, and/or people with other potential barriers to economic self sufficiency
