Description

The Systems Engineer is responsible for shaping the organization’s DevOps strategy and implementation. The DevOps lead will coordinating the efforts of product development teams with that of operations teams to streamline the development process and build and evolve an automated, secure, and scalable continuous delivery pipeline with high-quality, innovative product releases to mission customers. Responsibilities include leading the design and integration of DevOps tools and technologies for deployment, monitoring, and operations of mission systems software products; working with application teams to help them adopt continuous build, inspection, testing, and deployment approaches; participating in all aspects of DevOps Engineering and promoting industry standard methodologies in DevOps Engineering; helping to configure and monitor DevOps performance; and ensuring maximum uptime and optimal performance for mission customers in the Production environment.

1. Experience with various DevOps tools (e.g., Jira, Maven, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, GitHub, BitBucket, Docker, etc.).
2. Experience developing Infrastructure as Code.
3. Experience building software or solutions using PHP, Bash, Perl, Ruby, Python, or similar programming languages and technology stacks.
4. Experience leading cross-functional teams.
5. Experience solving difficult/complex problems and leading people through change.
6. Experience utilizing testing practices and frameworks including automated testing suites, unit testing, and end-to-end and user-acceptance testing.
7. Amazon Web Services (AWS)-Certified Solutions Architect or Developer, Associate or preferably Professional level.

This role requires an experienced Agile Scrum Master to work in a Government IC environment. Finally, this role facilitates horizontal communication across team member to identify any impediments that may prevent team progress while working mitigation plans as needed.

Candidate must have BS with 15+ year prior relevant experience or Masters with 13+ years prior relevant experience.
