Job summary
magniX is hiring a Battery Systems Engineer to design an 800V stationary battery pack and energy storage system for datacenter backup power, building on our high‑voltage battery expertise.
You will define the pack architecture, cell configuration, and BMS for a continuous, high‑uptime duty cycle compliant with stationary energy storage standards.
Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering and 5+ years in battery pack or BMS design, plus HV lithium‑ion experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering required.
- 5+ years in battery pack or BMS design.
- Experience with high‑voltage (400V+) lithium‑ion pack design and BMS integration.
Responsibilities
- Design a new battery pack (cell chemistry, module, pack, BMS) for high‑uptime datacenter use.
- Define cycle life, calendar life, and thermal targets for continuous operation.
- Define pack safety architecture per stationary storage standards (UL 9540/9540A, NFPA 855).
- Collaborate with Mechanical/Thermal Engineer for datacenter rack form factors.
- Define BMS requirements and interfaces to power converters and controls.
- Support pack‑level test planning and validation.
