Position Description

We are seeking a faithful, knowledgeable, and engaging Math Teacher for grades 8–12 who is committed to classical Christian education and the mission of cultivating wisdom, virtue, and a love of truth in students. The ideal candidate will teach mathematics with clarity and excellence while integrating a distinctly Christian worldview grounded in Scripture and classical pedagogy.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Teach middle and high school mathematics courses (such as Pre‑Algebra, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre‑Calc, Calc, etc.) using a classical, mastery‑based approach.
  • Integrate biblical truth and Christian worldview into instruction, helping students see mathematics as an ordered, logical reflection of God’s creation.
  • Prepare lesson plans that emphasize clear explanation, guided practice, and thoughtful assessment.
  • Assess student learning through tests, quizzes, homework, and projects, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain an orderly, respectful, and engaging classroom environment that fosters diligence, humility, and perseverance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum alignment and school‑wide academic goals.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and expectations.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as required.
  • Uphold and model the school’s statement of faith, philosophy of education, and code of conduct.
Qualifications

  • Strong classroom management skills and a heart for shepherding students.
  • Ability to communicate complex mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.
