Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education with appropriate subject area.
• Hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in a teaching content area.
• Master’s degree in a specific subject area.

Responsibilities

• Uses assessment strategies aligned with the WCPSS curriculum to support learner development.
• Ensures effective communication with students, parents, and stakeholders.
• Engages in planned continuous professional quality improvement for self, school, and district.
• Uses strategies that promote critical and creative thinking in students.
• Implements instructional materials reflecting diverse cultures, learning styles, and needs.
• Establishes a positive, organized learning environment and manages classroom behavior.
• Plans, aligns, implements, and evaluates instruction and assessment.
• Collaborates with peers, parents, community, and stakeholders to improve instruction.
• Integrates technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Adheres to safety procedures and maintains records as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
