Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/Doctorate degree required.
• Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Uses the TEKS as instructional objectives to plan teaching and to achieve TAKS objectives.
• Assists in administering the State Assessment Test and by signing oaths ensures the integrity of tests.
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students’ maturity and interests.
• Prepares for classes assigned and shows written evidence of preparation upon request.
• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals with clear objectives for lessons, units, projects.
• Employs varied instructional techniques and media to meet student needs.
• Strives to implement the district’s philosophy and objectives in instruction.
