Decatur Middle School is seeking a dynamic 7th Grade Science teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will be part of a dedicated team committed to equitable instructional practices and collaborative professional growth. The role involves delivering excellent instruction and supporting the diverse needs of students.

Educational Responsibilities

1. Facilitate effective lessons
2. Support academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and adaptive needs
3. Prepare and design engaging lessons and activities aligned with learning objectives
4. Respect and show compassion to students
5. Develop educational content and assessments
6. Monitor student progress and maintain data records
7. Supervise classroom to ensure a safe and productive environment
8. Collaborate with staff, administrators, and parents
9. Organize classroom resources and supplies
10. Deliver individualized instruction and encourage interactive learning
11. Maintain a clean and orderly classroom
12. Plan educational activities beyond IEP requirements when appropriate
