Job summary

Dioceses of Allentown is seeking a 7th Grade Homeroom Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Sacred Heart School, West Reading. The role focuses on developing reading and English language arts skills within a safe, faith-based classroom environment.

The candidate will plan lessons, assign and grade homework, communicate with families, and collaborate with staff to support student growth and faith formation in the Diocese.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent.
• Candidates must hold or be eligible for a PA Middle-Level certificate.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise students in hallways, cafeteria, buses, and events.
• Prepare lesson plans and activities for 2026-2027 school year.
• Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate records and grading policies.
• Communicate with families and use technology systems to update schedules and assignments.
• Instruct 6th–8th grade students in Reading and English Language Arts.
• Uphold the school’s policies and maintain a safe classroom environment.
