An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Teacher to lead a classroom and drive student outcomes. About the KIPP Colorado Teacher Role: The Teacher is the instructional leader of their classroom and is directly responsible for driving student outcomes and creating an exceptional student experience. Teachers develop rigorous, engaging, affirming, grade-level and culturally-sustaining instruction aligned with our academic program, preparing students for multiple post-secondary opportunities. Responsibilities include planning instruction, organizing learning activities, preparing lessons, grading equitably and consistently, and implementing accommodations and modifications for students’ IEPs, BIP’s, 504 Plans, ALPs, and MTSS interventions, supporting the individuality of all students.
The Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a culturally responsive classroom community that is warm-demanding, upholding school-wide expectations, managing tier 1 behaviors, and proactively communicating with families. Teachers support campus-wide community and systems through active participation in daily duties such as arrival, dismissal, lunch, transitions, hallway and bathroom supervision, and coverage for staff absences. This is a 10-month academic position, exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, reporting to a member of the school leadership team.
