Job summary

Converse County School District #1 is seeking a DMS 7th Grade Girls' Basketball Assistant Coach to guide student athletes in fundamentals and team play.

You will mentor players, reinforce positive behavior, monitor grades, and supervise practices, games, and travel, while upholding district policies and safety procedures.

The role emphasizes character development, discipline, and building confidence on the court, with compensation according to the district’s extra-duty schedule.

Qualifications

• PTSB Coaching Endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Has a thorough knowledge of all athletic policies approved by the Converse County School District #1 Board and is responsible for their implementation.
• Mentor to each athlete to promote development.
• Gives attention to a student athlete's grades and conduct.
• Supervision at all practices, games, and while traveling.
• Provides training rules and any other unique regulations of the sport to each athlete who is.
• Assists in the completion of paperwork on all athletic injuries on proper forms and submits to athletic office within 24 hours.
• Helps organize parents, coaches, players and guests for preseason meetings.
• Responsible for maintaining good public relations with news media, booster club, and parents.
