Job summary

ESS is seeking a Substitute Teacher to cover 7th grade ELA in Greensburg-Salem SD. The role involves delivering instruction, following lesson plans, supporting student understanding, and maintaining classroom routines.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree and PA Teacher Certification in Language Arts, plus required clearances and trainings. The daily rate is $150 to $160, with ESS providing meaningful opportunities within the district network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required and PA Teacher Certification in Language Arts.
• Completion and submission of PA Dept. of Education Form 6004: Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification (Act 24).
• Clearances: PA State Police (Act 34), Federal (Act 114).
• Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training (Act 126) and Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151).
• Suicide Prevention Training (Act 71) and Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168).
• Tuberculosis Test/Physical as required for screen­ing.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent.
• Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives.
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
• Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration.
• Perform other duties as directed by school administration.
