Job summary

Upper Arlington Schools is seeking a 7th Grade Basketball Cheer Head Coach for Jones and Hastings Middle Schools, Columbus, OH. The role reports to the Middle School Director of Student Life and focuses on developing skill, discipline, and teamwork among student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Prior successful coaching or working with student-athletes preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with students, families, and staff.
• Knowledge of cheerleading safety, drills, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and teaches cheer skill sets and techniques for individual and team achievement.
• Establishes fair procedures for player selection and communicates decisions to students and guardians.
• Plans practices and games in coordination with the Department of Student Life.
• Ensures a certified coach is present at all practices and events.
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and inventories and ensures proper storage.
