Qualifications

• Licensure or endorsement in Illinois for 6th–8th grade ELA/Reading.
• Ability to implement district-wide instructional goals and objectives.
• Experience or ability to manage a classroom and communicate with parents.

Responsibilities

• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and student engagement.
• Maintain orderly classroom behavior and consistent procedures.
• Prepare lessons and adaptations and provide documentation of preparation when requested.
• Assess student progress and communicate with parents as needed.
• Collaborate with other school staff in identification and remediation of students with special needs.
• Protect students and school property and adhere to policies and regulations.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in committees as required.
• Support administration in enforcing policies and rules governing student life and conduct.
• Strive to maintain professional competence through professional development.
