Job summary

Alpine Public School District is seeking a passionate, certified Middle School ELA teacher for grades 5–8 for the 2026/2027 school year to foster critical thinking, literacy, and a love of reading.

The candidate will develop engaging ELA lessons aligned with state standards, differentiate instruction, and collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary curriculum planning. Strong communication with families is expected.

Qualifications

• NJDOE English Teacher certification or Elementary Education with Middle School ELA specialization 5-8 is required.
• Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Experience using data to monitor student progress and provide feedback.
• Ability to communicate effectively with families regarding student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary curriculum planning.
• Proven track record of improving students' writing skills from extemporaneous writing to formal essays.
