Coastal Welding Supply-AWG Company has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Associate in our Houston, TX facility.

Coastal Welding Supply, Inc. was founded in 1963 and has evolved from a single location in Beaumont Texas into a full-service Gulf Coast industrial and specialty gas provider with a focus on the Petrochemical and Metal Fabrication Industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately and quickly
  • Deliver gas and hard goods to customers.
  • Operate forklift in warehouse setting.
  • Palletize and label overstock so that it may be handled properly.
  • Tag all orders to ensure that the order goes to the proper location for shipping.
  • Stock inbound merchandise
  • Release and verify validity of inbound purchase orders.
  • Properly log and process inbound parcel shipments
  • Restock consumables and prepare for the next business day.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles
  • Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
  • Back up Counter Representative
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug-screen
  • Clean driving record 3+ years
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds.
  • Good customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be comfortable using computers.

  • Lifting, bending, twisting, climbing, crouching, kneeling
  • Repetitive movement
  • Operating motorized equipment
  • Sitting; standing; walking
  • Working indoor/outdoor as business needs
