Summary of Duties

This role involves directing and supporting the assembly process from raw materials to pre-sterilization. Performs various medical assembly tasks and supports the team leader by providing guidance and leadership in their absence or under their direction.

Production Operator Functions
Essential Functions Performed
  1. Assembles medical products, performing tasks on a rotating basis.
  2. Checks products at work stations for proper assembly and removes defective items.
  3. Operates test equipment to ensure product quality.
  4. Overtime may be required.
  5. Performs related tasks as needed.
Team Leader Support Functions

Under the direction of the Team Leader, supports manufacturing by:

  1. Fulfilling work orders, prioritizing tasks, and coordinating processes.
  2. Working with quality assurance and training team members.
  3. Recording work and reporting progress.
  4. Ensuring equipment cleanliness and coordinating with other staff to meet production goals.
  5. Participating in problem-solving and team meetings.
  6. Performing other tasks as required.
Physical and Environmental Demands
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Writing, sitting, standing, bending, visual and color perception, depth perception, reading, peripheral vision, fine motor skills.
  • Exposure to noise, chemical vapors, soldering fumes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of related manufacturing experience.
  • For Spanish-language lines, basic bilingual skills.
  • Ability to meet assembly times and quality standards.
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and computer skills.
Competencies
  • Work order prioritization, assembly quality, training, reporting, team problem solving, production standards, basic computer skills.
