Phoenix Tailings is seeking an execution-oriented Project Engineer I – Recycling to be in the field daily, leading facility expansion and new construction. Ideal candidates have a BS in chemical or mechanical engineering, 0–4 years of experience in related capital projects, and comfort working in a manufacturing environment five days a week.

Phoenix Tailings is looking for an execution-oriented Project Engineer I – Recycling who wants to be in the field every day helping build first-of-a-kind, cutting-edge manufacturing processes. You will be part of the project management team leading facility expansion and new construction, working closely with internal engineering, EPC partners, and contractors to coordinate installation, field execution, and startup of key process systems.
Experience supporting capital projects, including managing external contractors, developing SOWs and RFPs, and navigating purchase order and change management processes, will be highly valuable in this role. Our facilities sit at the fast-paced intersection of rare earth metals and climate technology. The right candidate moves quickly, takes ownership, and is energized by Phoenix’s mission.
