Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse I provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level, utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process. The role involves delivering safe and effective care and collaborating with other healthcare team members to achieve desired outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred. RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013, with an Associate or Diploma in Nursing must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain a BSN within four years of hire or reclassification.
  • Minimum of one year of RN work experience required.
Licensure and Certifications:
  • RN licensure by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross.
Physical and Mental Requirements:

Various physical abilities are required, including the ability to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs, work in confined spaces, perform manual operations, and lift up to 50 lbs. Visual, auditory, tactile, and olfactory functions must be maintained. The role requires working rotating shifts, overtime, and handling stressful situations.
