Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or training for the assigned subject.
• Competency in the assigned academic subject area.
• Knowledge of the Texas curriculum and related guidelines.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with IEP guidelines and special education modifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with learning activities in 6th grade Reading/ELAR.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
• Assess student learning through formal and informal testing.
• Collaborate with staff and supervise aides/volunteers.
• Confer with parents and teachers; maintain records as required.
