Qualifications

• Michigan Elementary Teaching Certification with DI or DX Endorsement is required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Criminal background check including fingerprinting is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with age-appropriate learning activities in core subjects.
• Help students reach their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
• Use a broad repertoire of instructional strategies that honors varied learning styles.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff in writing and verbally.
• Be highly engaged in continued professional development.
• Establish and maintain classroom behavior standards for an orderly environment.
• Participate as part of a work team and collaborate with colleagues.
• Adhere to district policies regarding attendance, procedures, safety, professionalism, and appearance.
• Maintain student records, achievement, and attendance using district-approved technology.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal.
