Job summary

Piedmont Public Schools is seeking a Teacher Assistant for 6th grade at Stone Ridge Intermediate in Yukon, Oklahoma. The role begins immediately to support instructional delivery and student success.

The successful candidate will assist teachers with IEPs, classroom activities, and safety procedures while maintaining a positive learning environment for all students. This is a full-time position with standard district calendars and evaluation processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Paraprofessional Certification (OSDE) is required.
• Experience supporting elementary or middle school students is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Works cooperatively with the classroom teacher in implementing the instructional program.
• Helps children achieve success and develop positive feelings about themselves and school.
• Serves as a model in developing children's language and behavior.
• Assists the certified teacher in implementing the student IEP.
• Assists in preparing for instruction with materials and teaching aids.
• Assists in the personal care of the child.
