Job summary

Ann Arbor Public Schools seeks a dedicated Middle School Coach for 6th Grade Girls Volleyball at Forsythe. The role supports athletic programming, coordinates with staff, and mentors student-athletes in skill development and sportsmanship.

The position requires a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid, and an active Michigan Teaching Certificate. Candidates should be prepared to work on-site with the athletic department and participate in district activities and clinics.

Non Contractual (hourly) Staff hired will become an employee of PCMI (third party administrator). Current AAPS Contractual Staff will remain on payroll with AAPS.

Certificates, Licenses & Registrations

• Possession of current, valid licensing or certification as it applies to this position
• Certification in the appropriate level and subject is required for teachers
• Dual or multiple certifications for teachers is preferred

Copies of an active Michigan Teaching Certificate and college transcripts are required with the application packet. Original certificate and certified transcripts are required prior to being hired.

Education & Experience

• Knowledgeable about the rules and fundamental techniques required of the sport
• Ability to obtain current CPR / First Aid / Lifeguard Certification where applicable
• Ability to work effectively with sport coaching staff, parents and school staff
