Job description

EFFECTIVE DATE: 2025/2026 School Year

Information About The Position

  • Teachers at Hahn Intermediate teach on two-person teams. One teacher provides reading and writing instruction; the other provides math, science and social studies instruction.
  • Hahn is home to Davison's 5th and 6th grade students.
  • Teachers prepare students for the transition to Middle School.

Qualifications

  • Must have ZG endorsement (Elementary K-5 all subjects [K-8 All Subjects Self contained Classroom]).
  • Must be certified to teach in the State of Michigan and possess the necessary educational background and certification for the position as determined by the district.

Responsibilities

  • Willing and able to deliver effective classroom instruction.
  • Willing to collaborate with teaching partner and grade level colleagues.
  • Have a strong desire to work with elementary school aged students and their parents.
  • Be willing to participate in a variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities including staff development and curriculum development.
  • Be willing to work as part of a building team for the improvement of instruction.
  • Be open to continuous change.
  • Be an excellent communicator with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the requirements of the position.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.

SALARY: Per DEA Master Agreement
