Gesu School, a Pre-K through 8 th grade independent Jesuit Catholic School is seeking a qualified 6 th grade boys teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.

This is a 10-month/full-time position that reports to and works closely with the Principal and Vice Principal for Academic Affairs.

Requirements:

·2-3 years of teaching experience (preferred)

·Candidates must exhibit a genuine commitment to the mission/philosophy of Gesu School.

·Candidates must establish effective communication and organizational skills.

·Candidates must foster healthy working relationships with staff, students, parents & colleagues.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

·Create a classroom environment that provides for student involvement in the learning process and

enables each student to achieve learning objectives through effective teaching.

·Implement the educational mission, philosophy, goals and MAGIS (soft-skills curriculum) of the school

as articulated in the IHM and Jesuit Catholic Tradition.

·Observe of all school regulations pertaining to his/her employment.

·Perform professional responsibilities not limited to planning lessons, prepare instructional material,

taking attendance, lunch count, serving on staff committees, conferring with parents, maintaining

positive relationships.

·Complete of requirements for obtaining/maintaining clearances and induction.

·Prepare of trimester written reports to inform parents of student progress, and participation in

regularly scheduled conferences with students and parents when assistance is needed in the process

of academic and personal growth.
