Accel Schools in Columbus, OH is hiring a highly qualified 6th–8th Grade Science Teacher for South Columbus Preparatory Academy at German Village. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, differentiate instruction, and monitor student progress while maintaining a positive classroom culture.

The role requires an Ohio teaching license, a Bachelor's in education, strong communication, and the ability to work in an urban environment.

Qualifications

• Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to properly manage confidential information.
• Able to supervise students of various ages in different school settings (playground, cafeteria, etc.)
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
• Experience working within an urban environment

• Compensation: The salary range for this position is $40,000 - 49,500. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
