Essential Duties:

Academic Interventionist

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job listed above.
  • Valid Arizona Teaching Certification and five years of teaching experience.
  • SEI endorsement or certification in ESL or Bilingual Education.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing Response to Intervention and teaching English Learners.
  • Knowledge and experience in the development and evaluation of academic interventions.
  • Valid IVP Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Education

Employment Information:

2025-26 school year; 194 work days (216 day teacher calendar); 16 hours/week.

Future Requirement for K-5: Literacy Endorsement (unless you hold a Reading K-8, Reading K-12 or Reading Specialist K-12 endorsement)
Timeline:
  • Teachers who were certified on or before 8/1/2025 have until 8/1/2028 to obtain the literacy endorsement.
  • Teachers who certify after 8/1/2025 will have 3 years from certificate issuance to obtain the literacy endorsement.
  • Teachers who graduate from AZ colleges in 2025 should have completed the coursework and should have the certificate on their licenses.
