Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC’s Broadway Academy at Willow in Cleveland, Ohio seeks a dedicated 6th-8th Grade ELA Teacher who brings literature to life and supports social-emotional learning.

The teacher will design engaging lesson plans, differentiate instruction, monitor progress, collaborate with families, and contribute to a positive school culture aligned with ACCEL's mission and career-technical education initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area or eligible.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required.
• Experience with urban education is preferred.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet student needs.
• Strong communication and confidentiality skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in.
• Incorporate school-approved curricula reflecting diverse backgrounds.
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
• Communicate with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice.
• Participate in planning and implementing non-instructional activities.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
