TITLE: TN - Associate Supervisor (3rd Shift)
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Provide support to Shift Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or up to one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous production experience is a must, preferably in an injection molding environment. The associate must have the ability to run all injection molding machines and have a strong understanding of the utility position.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook)
- Basic SAP I preferred as daily use of SAP my be required in this position.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Remains highly visible on the shop floor, coordinating assignments of all production personnel.
- Assigns work locations and tasks. Responsible for proper staffing of the production lines.
- Schedules breaks and lunches for production personnel.
- Ensures that all manufacturing orders are completed on time.
- Ensures that all products produced meet all quality standards and customer requirements.
- Assists with ensuring efficient labor and machine performance is met and maintained.
- Oversees and participates in line clearance events and follows the 'Line Preparation and Clearance" procedure.
- Assists with ensuring efficient labor and machine performance is met and maintained.
- Coordinates problem solving / rework efforts
- Assists with personnel performance management issues and progressive discipline if warranted.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
- Climbing, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles. Body agility is emphasized.
- Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent failing when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
- Frequently lifting 5 to 25 pounds.
- Color, depth perception and field of vision is pertinent to requirements.
- Expert and proper use of lathes, drills, presses, power tools.
- Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions, not necessarily temperature conditions.
- Subject to loud noise, causing reason to shout in order to be heard above noise level.
