Job description

Job Title: Structural Welder
Schedule: Rotational Schedule: TBD
Location: Crew Change Location: TBD

We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our construction team, reporting to the Danos Superintendent. The ideal candidate will demonstrate characteristics such as safety awareness, strong work ethic, technical expertise, open communication, customer focus, and alignment with our vision and values.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform welding on various materials and positions using processes such as GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and SAW.
  2. Lay out, position, fit, and weld piping and structural components, including pipes, flanges, fittings, valves, supports, plates, and beams, following fabrication drawings.
  3. Set up, troubleshoot, and operate welding equipment per job specifications and procedures.
  4. Adjust valves, gauges, and flames; handle compressed gas and oxygen cylinders safely.
  5. Operate industry tools and equipment, including air arc gougers and grinders.
  6. Participate in Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and adhere to safety, health, and environmental protocols.
  7. Conduct behavioral-based safety observations.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years offshore welding experience.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor new employees.
  • Exceptional understanding of safety practices.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • TWIC card required.
