Job Title: Structural Welder

Description for Internal Candidates:

A member of the construction team reporting to Danos Superintendent.

  1. Be able to perform welding on various materials at required position using different welding processes, including, but not limited to, GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW and SAW.
  2. Lay out, position, fit and weld various piping and structural components, including pipes, flanges, fittings, valves, piping supports, structural plates, beams, etc., in accordance with the supplied piping/structural fabrication drawings.
  3. Set up, troubleshoot, and operate welding machines according to job specifications and welding procedures.
  4. Adjust valves, gauges, and flames as needed and be capable of handling compressed gas and oxygen cylinders safely.
  5. Operate air arc gouger, grinder, and other industry machines, tools, and equipment.
  6. Participate in JSA’s and all other Safety, Health and Environmental Processes.
  7. Conduct behavioral based safety observations.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. 3 or more years prior offshore welding experience.
  2. Strong leadership skills.
  3. Exceptional understanding of Safety processes and practices.
  4. Able to mentor new employees.
  5. Exceptional technical writing and communication skills.
  6. TWIC card.
