Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled 6G Stick Welder to join our on-site team. You will perform high-quality pipe welds ranging from ¾" to 18", primarily 2"–6", on compressors, vessels, evaporators, and condensers for industrial refrigeration systems.

This 1st shift position requires independent setup, fit, and open-root welding, plus loading, rigging, torch cutting, and leveling with precision. You will work with a safety-driven crew and contribute to project timelines.

Qualifications

• Must pass a 6G SMAW test (2" schedule 80, 6010 root, 7018 cap)
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Familiarity with rigging, torch cutting, grinders, and measurement tools
• Team-oriented and safety-conscious

Responsibilities

• Weld pipe ¾" to 18" diameter, primarily 2"–6"
• Weld runs on critical components (compressors, vessels, evaporators, condensers)
• Set up and perform open root welding
• Meet productivity targets (e.g., 50 diameter inches in 8 hours)
• Assist with insulation, electrical, and painting tasks as needed
• Perform other duties on the job site
