Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is looking for a key contributor to their flight simulation team. You will play an integral role in the 6DOF simulation used for the development of GNC algorithms and perform Monte Carlo analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering, physics, or mathematics along with 2+ years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include working with hardware and analysis teams, implementing numerical solvers, and collaborating across various teams to enhance performance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant full-time work experience.
• Strong understanding of simulation development.
• Ability to complete projects with high independence.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the 6DOF simulation for GNC algorithm development.
• Develop and integrate subsystem models into the simulation.
• Implement numerical solvers and physics models.

Skills

Proficiency with compiled languages (C++, Rust)

Proficiency with scripted languages (Python)

Experience in developing physics-based simulations

Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment

Education

Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, physics, mathematics
