Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, quality, and production standards on assigned lines.
• Know all parts of the extrusion line and their purpose.
• Disassemble, clean, and assemble dies and calibrators.
• Know startup and shutdown procedure for twin-screw lines.
• Prepare line for the first piece inspection.
• Basic extrusion problem-solving.
• Maintain communication with Packers, QC technicians, Supervisors, and other operators.
• Complete paperwork to determine if production metrics are captured.
• Enter production info into the system and print labels per order requirements.
• Maintain and care for equipment, initiate maintenance work orders for outages.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of lines, daily housekeeping.
• Comply with plant safety regulations and GMP.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

TITLE: Extrusion Technician B

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Extrusion Technician is responsible for operating and monitoring an extrusion line consisting of multiple machines that transform a blend of powdered raw materials into finished PVC profiles through a foaming extrusion process. The position requires following the production schedule, maintaining product quality, applying finishing prints, and ensuring proper packaging at the end of the line. The Extrusion Technician is accountable for the product throughout the entire manufacturing process, from startup to packaging.

SCHEDULE:

• Monday – Thursday or Tuesday - Friday
• 40 - 48 hours/week
• OT as needed
• This schedule is subject to change

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• Legal eligibility to work in the US
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English
• Basic math skills and good mechanical abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of personnel

• 6 months of machine operating experience in a plastic extrusion environment required.
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.

• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
• Capable of lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 40 pounds of various sizes and shapes.
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time and climbing ladders or other equipment for cleaning.

• Perform other duties as assigned
