The NERC Regulatory Compliance Specialist ensures compliance with NERC, FERC, and regional reliability standards across fossil fuel and renewable energy sites. The role involves regulatory reporting, compliance program monitoring, training, and coordination with regulatory entities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support facility personnel on NERC, EIA, and regional reliability compliance matters.
• Prepare and oversee regulatory reports for NERC, WECC, and other entities.
• Conduct compliance reviews, recommend program improvements, and implement best practices.
• Communicate with NERC, WECC, and regulatory bodies, ensuring timely reporting and compliance.
• Develop and deliver compliance training to site personnel.
• Oversee contractor/vendor regulatory adherence.
• Maintain compliance records and documentation.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, regulatory affairs, or related field (preferred).
• Experience: 3-10 years in NERC compliance or a related industry.
• Knowledge: Power plant operations, NERC/FERC/WECC regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Technical: Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and compliance tracking tools.
• Travel: Up to 25% for site visits and off-site activities.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25 lbs., work in industrial environments, and perform occasional physical tasks.
