Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Lead Test Conductor for a 12-month assignment at Edwards Air Force Base, California. The role involves coordinating flight test operations and developing test methods and procedures while ensuring accuracy and quality of test data.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field and have over 5 years of experience in flight testing. A referral bonus will be available for candidates who meet conditions of employment.

Job Description

• Pay: $82.49/hr
• 12 Month Assignment; Possibility of Extension or Conversion based on performance and budget
• Mon – Fri 7:30AM-4PM
• Location: Edwards Air Force Base, CA
• The position will be responsible for lead test conduct through coordination of flight test operations with various functions and support groups in the organization (Flight Operations, Flight Test Operations, Instrumentation & Data Systems, Test Software and Telemetry, System Design and Development, System Design, Installation Design, and Operations, Fabrication and Assembly).
• Support the development and verification of test methods.
• Develop detailed test procedures, instrumentation and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan.
• Perform detailed planning and execution of aircraft ground and flight test.
• Review test data, including off‑nominal data, for accuracy, quality, and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer.
• Prepare and publish reports to document test results and satisfy requirements.
• Prepare test results internally.
• Achieve data and reports.
• Train/guide junior test conductors with their career development in flight test.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or related field Required!
• 5+ years of experience with the principles of flight test OR experience directly supporting flight test operations.
• 5+ years of experience in planning and conducting system level lab, ground, or flight testing.
• 100+ hours of control room experience as a Test Conductor.
