Job Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for the operation, setup, and adjustment of production equipment as required. Assists with setups, tool room activities, and maintenance, including debugging of equipment and tooling.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Operate, set up, and adjust production equipment as required.
  2. Monitor equipment and notify supervision or setups of malfunctions that cannot be corrected.
  3. Inspect parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
  4. Service equipment as needed (e.g., apply grease, lubricant, and coolant).
  5. Approve inspection reports.
  6. Meet established production standards.
  7. Complete necessary paperwork, including production, productivity, inspection, downtime, and SPC charts.
  8. Train new employees in the position or area as required.
  9. Maintain a clean, orderly, and obstruction-free work area.
  10. Observe safety rules at all times and report unsafe conditions immediately.
  11. Ensure the quality and safety of own work and compliance with company procedures and policies.

Education, Training, and Experience:

  • Required: Eighth grade education. Deviations from requirements (e.g., substituting more work experience for education) will be evaluated and approved by the Operations Manager.
  • Preferred: High school diploma with approximately six months of work experience.
