Step Up Tutoring is seeking volunteers to provide virtual 1-on-1 tutoring to 2nd-6th grade students from underserved communities to help build fundamental math and literacy skills and to provide support and encouragement. All tutoring will take place virtually! All you need is a computer and internet access. No prior tutoring experience is needed.

We recruit, train, and support mission-driven high-value tutors to provide individualized academic support, boost habits of success, and foster positive relationships. Our scalable and cost-effective tutoring model aims to drive meaningful academic gains, build student confidence, and create lasting bonds between students and tutors. We envision a world where all young people have the support they need to learn, develop, and access their dreams.

Through our partnership with LAUSD and with the help of our volunteers, we offer free online tutoring and mentoring for students in grades 2nd-6th to improve success in under-resourced communities.
