Job summary

Braun Intertec is seeking students pursuing degrees in engineering, construction management, or related field to join our Urbandale, IA office for a 6-month Co-op opportunity. You will gain in-depth technical training and industry certifications after exams and demonstrations of ability.

You will perform testing on soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt at construction sites. Candidates should be comfortable outdoors in varying weather, able to lift 75+ pounds, and commit to 6 months from mid-May

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record for the last 3 years.
• Full-time commitment for 6 months from mid-May to December.
• The ability to lift 75+ pounds.
• A "working safe" attitude and mindset.
• The ability to work overtime and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
• Onsite materials testing on various projects, coordinating with project managers and technicians to ensure specs are followed.
• Gain field experience and develop communication with construction crews.
